Privacy Policy

Who we are

Anywhere Inc. operates Anywhere (the "Prototype"). For privacy questions, contact us at privacy@tryanywhere.io.

Scope

This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use the Prototype portal and related evaluation API access provided through that portal.

Information we collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • Access and session data: encrypted session cookies, login timestamps, and records of Terms and Privacy acceptance
  • Account and onboarding data: email, workflow-interest survey responses, and signup attribution (UTM / referrer)
  • Query data: natural-language questions, GeoJSON areas of interest, API responses, confidence labels, provenance metadata, and decision trace identifiers
  • Product analytics events: page views, signup funnel steps, and activation metrics (without area-of-interest coordinates or question text in third-party analytics tools)
  • Technical logs: IP address, browser user agent, request timestamps, and error diagnostics for security and operations
  • Feedback you voluntarily submit by email or forms

How we use information

We use collected information to provide and secure the Prototype, troubleshoot failures, understand usage, improve Anywhere products, and respond to feedback. We do not sell your personal information.

Legal bases

Where applicable, we rely on legitimate interests in operating an invite-only product evaluation, and on your consent when you accept the Terms and Privacy Policy at sign-in.

Sharing and subprocessors

We use infrastructure and service providers to run the Prototype, including Google Cloud (hosting and Vertex AI inference), Microsoft Planetary Computer (NAIP imagery access), Clerk (authentication), and PostHog (product analytics). These providers process data on our behalf to deliver the service.

Product analytics events sent to PostHog exclude areas of interest, natural-language questions, answers, and API keys. Sensitive geospatial payloads remain in Anywhere-controlled systems (for example Google Cloud).

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to record your acceptance of the Terms and Privacy Policy. We also use PostHog cookies / local storage for product analytics (page views and funnel events). We do not use advertising cookies.

Data retention

We store the information described above — including the queries you submit and the outputs you receive — indefinitely. Authorized members of the Anywhere team can access and review the queries you ask and the outputs you receive in order to operate, secure, debug, audit, and improve the Prototype and Anywhere products. We may continue to retain this information after you stop using the Prototype. You can request deletion of information associated with your use as described under "Your privacy rights" below.

Security

We apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate for an early-stage prototype.

International transfers

Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.

Children

The Prototype is restricted to adults 18 years or older (or the age of majority where you live), consistent with the Terms of Service. It is not directed to minors, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it.

Your privacy rights

You may stop using the Prototype at any time.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information — including the rights to access, correct, delete, or port it, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email privacy@tryanywhere.io and we will respond as required by applicable law. This Prototype does not yet include a self-service data-rights portal.

If you are in the EEA or the UK, the legal bases for our processing are described under "Legal bases" above, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If you are a California resident, we do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this Privacy Policy will reflect the latest version. Material changes may require re-acceptance at sign-in.
